Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ifeinvite applications from suitably qualified candidates who chose Obafemi Awolowo University as First and/or Second choice in the last JAMB/UTME examination to apply for Post-UTME Screening Exercise for 2011/2012 Academic Session.

The 2011 Post-UTME Screening Exercise of Obafemi Awolowo University will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2011 by 1.00 p.m. in various centres at Ile-Ife.  All candidates are expected to be seated, latest, by 11.00 a.m.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMME


Applicants for admission into the HND programmes will be required to have the following qualifications:

1. National Diploma ND with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field and five (5) relevant O/L credit pass at WASC, GCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings.

2. Evidence of one year Post ND Cognate experience (Industrial Training)

3. Applicants with Pass Grade in the ND will be required to have at least two (2) years Post National Diploma Industrial Experience.

4. Applicants in Agricultural Engineering Technology (Post-Harvest Technology options) are required to have at least a Lower Credit Grade pass at National Diploma (ND) programme in any of the following:

1. Agricultural Engineering Technology
2. Agricultural Technology
3. Food Science Technology

Applicants for Metallurgical Engineering Technology are expected to be graduates of National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology only.

Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology are expected to be graduates of National Diploma in Mineral Resources Engineering Technology only.

Holders of ND Computer Engineering are not admissible into HND Elect/Elect. Engineering Technology and HND Computer Science Programmes.

Candidates will not be admitted into HND programmes different from those they had in their ND programmes


NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMMES (PART-TIME):

1. Applicants for admission into Part-Time National Diploma (ND) programmmes will be required to have a minimum of five (5) O/L Credits at SSCE, GCE, NECO, and NABTEB at not more than two sittings.

2. Credit Pass in Mathematics and English language is compulsory for all applicants seeking admission into any programme in the Polytechnic.

3. For National Diploma (ND) in Public Administration, a Credit pass in a Science subject is required.


C.)  PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA SCIENCE PROGRAMME:

Applicants seeking admission into the Pre-ND programme must be INDIGENES OF KWARA STATE with at least five passes in WASC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB which must include English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.

Application for Admission is to be done online.

 has annouced the dates and procedure for the Post UTME Screening for 2011 / 2012 Academic Session.

A.) Invitation and Eligibility
This is to inform candidates who made the Kwara State University as their first or second choice or interested in KWASU who must have changed their institutions through JAMB and scored 200 in the last JAMB UTME for 2011/2012 admission, including candidates for Direct Entry, are invited for screening which commences on Monday 18th July, 2011 at 9.00am in the University Campus Auditorium, Malete,,, in these order:

Monday 18 – 22 July, 2011 - Candidates who made KWASU their first choice.
Monday 1 – 5 August, 2011 - Candidates who made KWASU their second choice.
Monday 8 – 12 August, 2011 - Candidates who do not choose KWASU but are interested.

B.) Screening Fees
The screening fee is N1,000.00, while administrative charges is N500.00 (five hundred naira)

University of Ilorin - Unilorin JAMB & Post UME Admission Screening 2011/2012

University of Ilorin invites applications candidates who have applied for admission into the Undergraduate degree programmes of the University for the 2011/2012 academic session to upload the required information for the Screening Exercise between Monday 18th July, 2011 and Saturday, 6th August 2011.

The Pre-admission Screening Exercise will commence on the 18th August, 2011 at Ilorin, Lagos and Minna centres.

The following categories of candidates are eligible:

A.) UME candidates who made the University of Ilorin their first and/or second choice and scored:

  • (ii) a score of 220 marks in UTME for Accounting, Biochemistry, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Common Law, Economics, English, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Geology, Industrial Chemistry, Mass Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine and five (5) ‘O’ level Credits in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
  • (iii) MBBS candidates who obtained: (a) a score of 240 marks in the UTME and (b) Credit Passes at one sitting only in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or its equivalence in each of the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

B.) DIRECT ENTRY candidates who made the University of Ilorin their first and/or second choice and have obtained a minimum of: 
  • (i) Upper Credit at OND/HND/Diploma (except for Statistics, Agriculture, Performing Arts and History, where Lower Credit may be considered).   • (ii) Merit in NCE; and
  • (iii) A minimum of two (2) Advanced level passes in two relevant subjects.
  • (iv) MBBS candidates must have obtained a minimum of: (a) 13 points in IJMB or GCE Advanced Level Examination in the relevant subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or (b) Second Class (Upper Division) Honours Degree in Zoology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry or any other relevant courses in the Basic Sciences.
All candidates must strictly disclose the choice of courses they applied for originally with JAMB as well as any proposed change of course. Candidates seeking change of course will be required to pay change of course fee after admission. Withholding of information or wrong information will lead to instant disqualification.

C.)  Foreign candidates who have not taken part in the UTME or filled Direct Entry form can reach the University Admissions Officer at:admissionsofficer@unilorin.edu.ng for information on admission into the University. For example:
Medicine: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Common Law: English Language, Literature-in-English and any other 3 subjects from Arts and/or Social Sciences.
Note that a pass in Mathematics is a requirement for admission but should not be listed.

University of Ado-Ekiti (UNAD) hereby invite applications from all candidates who chose UNAD as either their first choice or second choice, and scored a minimum score of 200 in the just concluded 2011/2012 jamb into her various undergraduate programmes for the 2011/2012 UNAD academic session.

Candidates must have score a minimum of 200 marks in jamb. Application forms are obtainable from any branches of Wema bank,Spring bank, Intercontinental bank, UBA, Oceanic and Zenith banks nation wide.

In this bank, the candidates should obtain an e-transact pin with which to access the Unad post utme portal for registrations.
